Profile: Our Reggio-inspired program is designed to harness the power and potential of childhood. At Temple Shalom Early Learning Center (TSELC), we believe that children who create and make meaning for themselves experience the profound joy of discovery. Our program offers a welcoming, inclusive, and nurturing environment where children are given endless ways and opportunities to express themselves. We believe that children are active participants in their own learning.

Children of all backgrounds, faiths, and abilities are welcome. Our young families (including parents, grandparents, and other adults) are actively involved in all aspects of congregational life at Temple Shalom. Our goal is to connect families to our rich Jewish heritage, enabling them to make informed choices as they bring Judaism into their modern lives.

Our creative and dynamic faculty introduces our children to aspects of holidays, rituals, prayers, Hebrew, Torah, life cycle, and Israel in immersive and developmentally appropriate ways. Additionally, we offer an engaging music program, including the nationally recognized Rhythm ‘N’ Ruach program; afternoon ballet and soccer enrichment; tot Shabbats, potluck Shabbat dinners, family holiday services, and celebrations; participation in our Sunday morning Kids’ Time program; and a year-long gift of free membership to the synagogue that includes an ELC tuition discount.
