Preschool fair & online directories

The annual fair

In order to comply with safety regulations and help protect the health of children, parents, school staff, the general public, and our WAM & Fam volunteers, the 2020 Southern Montgomery County Preschool Fair will be hosted online only via our online directories (see below for details).

The 2021 preschool fair will take place Saturday, Nov. 6, at the Silver Spring Civic Building. Follow our dedicated preschool fair Facebook page to stay informed and check out pictures and videos from the 2019 fair.

We look forward to repeating the success of the 2019 fair. For over 10 years, WAM & Fam has hosted its annual Southern Montgomery County Preschool Fair and online preschool directory to help parents find the best school that fits their family’s needs. Some represented Maryland neighborhoods include the following: Aspen Hill, Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Garrett Park, Kensington, Northwest D.C., Olney, Potomac, Rockville, Silver Spring, Takoma Park, and Wheaton.

Free to attendees, the annual preschool fair offers an in-person opportunity that enables families to talk with representatives from a variety of local nurseries and preschools across southern Montgomery County, Md.—all in one convenient location. In 2019, the fair also included extracurricular organizations that offer classes for children who are 5 years old or younger.

The directories

The preschool directory provides an alphabetical list of local schools, their addresses, phone numbers, schedules, and other pertinent information. We have also created a new extracurricular directory that offers similar features.

You can also use the advanced directories search to filter results by school type, zip code, schedule, co-op, and other attributes or by a keyword.

Vendor registration

Schools and extracurricular organizations interested in participating in WAM & Fam’s annual fair or our online directories should visit the vendor registration page to learn more.
